A person with hypothyroidism have a slower metabolism. It is essentially a hormonal problem.

It would be advisable to hypothyroidism and obesity address, it would be better to have a diet program, training program and lifestyle changes that have been tested with hormones in their favor.

Crash diet without counting calories, the excess cardio, etc. are realized. You can actually make things worse.

Although it is a very complex issue, I'll give you an example that shows what I mean:

Many experts say that people, the best way to lose weight is to eat less and exercise more. At the thought of more exercise is cardiovascular exercise, which is intended to offer aerobics.

This increases the number of mitochondria in the muscles, which was very beneficial, especially in patients with hypothyroidism demonstrated that the defective mitochondria.

However, if someone moves out of reach of aerobic and anaerobic conditions,There is a change in the hormones that is used. Overtraining in an anaerobic condition leads to a decline in growth hormone (which the repair and reconstruction of the hormone), and) more cortisol (stress hormone. Cortisol is a stress hormone, which excludes the protein in the muscles, the signals from the accumulation of fat around the stomach and slows the conversion of T4 to T3.

With this knowledge you can avoid unwanted accumulation of certain hormones such as cortisol, general metabolism improved by increasing the mitochondria.

Here is a list of links on my blog that other examples exist, but to understand a little easier.

It is necessary, the degree of thyroid or weight loss is impossible to correct. This means that if you are on T4 (Synthroid, Levoxyl, etc.) that the first hours of the morning show TSH of 1.0 to at least the mid-levels of free T3 notion that decisions should be enough T4 into T3 . If you are in Q4/Q3, then you need the free T4 at least mid-range and free T3 in the high-end.

Sometimes, weight gain, whereas hypothyroidism leads to a person who is insulin resistance (prediabetes) to develop the state of high insulin levels are also difficult to lose weight. The diagnosis, this is a fasting insulin and fasting glucose.

In food hypothyroidism ...... reducing carbohydrates, fiber growth, and to avoid soy. Exercise for at least 1 hours, 4 + times per week. Thyroid diet and exercise forum link below

There is no magic formula. Check with your doctor to ensure that the correct dose of thyroid hormones, and at the same time receive an adequate diet. You can relax in the diabetic diet.

Enjoy books slowly. Choose an exercise that you really is every day - walking well, maybe on a tape if you want to work outside.

Do not go hungry - is the obsessive. Eat smaller portions and get rid of bread.

I lost a little when I stopped eating bread. Several friends have success with The South Beach Diet, or had similar low or no carb diet.

Good luck

I do not have hypothyroidism, but I was overweight, but not like this world, so I'll say it was big bones lol. I had the gastric bypass. and my doctor told me that crash diets make you gain more weight. because he can not lose if you have you more if you start to eat again. She is telling me to do, eat healthy and exercise, even walking just one hour per day. told to eat 6 small meals per day or 3 meals and 2 snacks. if they do not starve if you do not. You must go to a nutritionist who can help.
